Abstract
Mokhtar Village, covering an area of 29 square kilometers, is located in the Central District of Boyer-Ahmad County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province situated three kilometers west of Yasouj at the geographical coordinates of 51° 31' East longitude and 30° 39' North latitude. It is situated 8 kilometers west of Yasouj, at geographical coordinates of 51° 28′ East longitude and 30° 41′ North latitude. The village lies at an elevation of 1,760 meters above sea level and experiences a climate characterized by relatively warm, temperate weather during spring and summer extending into early autumn while winters are cold. Documenting some of the plants found in this region can provide fundamental information for use across various fields, including the biological sciences, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and industry. Therefore, the initial phase of this study involves documenting the vegetation in the village to provide essential data for environmental sciences. Key plant species identified in the area include Hordeum murinum L. (edible and fodder), Plantago lanceolata L. (medicinal and fodder), Lactuca serriola L. (fodder), and Lepidium draba L. (edible and fodder), among others. A key recommendation arising from this study is to motivate and encourage agricultural stakeholders to expand the cultivation of medicinal plants, leveraging the region's significant potential to boost the local economy.
